Programmes to convert video files

Well. Let me talk to you about a bunch of programmes to convert video files.

The first one is called Total Video Converter (shareware) and you can download it from here. It allows you to convert from many formats into new ones: mpeg4, mpeg, avi, flv, swf, dv,etc. It can also convert different audio files. There's not the possibility to convert from rm (Real Player) to any other format. This conversion is quite requested since many video servers such as the BBC use the rm format. So there's another programme we have to use. It is called RM Converter (shareware): you can download it from here.
We can also try Mediacoder (freeware). It supports many formats, even the rm format (but only as income container: that means that you can convert from rm to any other format but not the other way round). This software is continuosly evolving to include more formats and applications and it is free!. Visit its homepage here.
Finally there's another programme called Softpepper. You can convert many video and audio files with this software. I particularly use this programme to rip dvds. You can download softpeppers (shareware) from here.
