Cómo redimensionar unha foto

Para "alixerar" o peso dunha foto para subila a internet e que deste xeito se cargue axiña e ocupe menos espazo de disco, unha opción rápida é usar o famoso programa Paint de Microsoft. Aquí tedes un pequeno titorial.
Un exemplo de edición con Paint : unha foto baixada da internet con un peso de 1.7 MB, foi reducida a 36 k. Ver exemplo.

What's FTP?

FTP or File Transfer Protocol is used to transfer data from one computer to another over the Internet, or through a network.

Problema solucionado con windows 98

Me pasan un portátil bastante cascado que corre win98. La dueña me dice que es incapaz de escuchar cds de audios. Observo que tenía como defecto el winamp3 pero fue borrado del HD. No veo forma de que al pulsar botón derecho sobre archivo de audio salga la opción abrir con . Aprendí un truco para ello: tecla de mayúsculas (la de la flecha) + botón derecho y por defecto el win98 trae el reproductor antiguo de windows y ya está. De todas formas intenté instalar varias versiones del winamp y daba error en todas.

Well. Let me talk to you about a bunch of programmes to convert video files.

The first one is called Total Video Converter (shareware) and you can download it from here. It allows you to convert from many formats into new ones: mpeg4, mpeg, avi, flv, swf, dv,etc. It can also convert different audio files. There's not the possibility to convert from rm (Real Player) to any other format. This conversion is quite requested since many video servers such as the BBC use the rm format. So there's another programme we have to use. It is called RM Converter (shareware): you can download it from here.
We can also try Mediacoder (freeware). It supports many formats, even the rm format (but only as income container: that means that you can convert from rm to any other format but not the other way round). This software is continuosly evolving to include more formats and applications and it is free!. Visit its homepage here.
Finally there's another programme called Softpepper. You can convert many video and audio files with this software. I particularly use this programme to rip dvds. You can download softpeppers (shareware) from here.

HOW TO CAPTURE VIDEO FROM INTERNET

The following programmes have been designed to capture streaming video from the net.

aTube Catcher, previously known as YouTube Catcher or You Tube Video Catcher, is an open source program utility that allows users to extract, download and save Flash based embedded video clips from various video sharing and hosting sites, including YouTube, XTube, MySpace, Stage6, Google Video and Yahoo!, and then automatically convert and export to other file formats and encoding including MPG, AVI, MP4, 3GP, 3G2, WMV, PSP, MOV, and the fash video FLV itself, depending on your choice.

aTube Catcher also allows users to set the video quality they wanted for the downloaded video. Other video encoding options such as size, frame rate, aspect, video codec, file format, audio codec, audio sampling, quality and motion search can be manually configured as well.

You can use atube catcher (freeware) to download video or audio when you have access to the URL.

On the other hand, you have to use Wm recorder (shareware) when the URL is hidden in a small text file called metafile. Wm recorder is the best way in these cases.
